Movies

I grew up in a household where movie nights and trips to Blockbuster were cherished family traditions, and is something I miss now since streaming has taken over. My dad always shared his favorite films with the hope of kindling a similar passion in me—and he succeeded. Now, I find myself passing on this cinematic enthusiasm to my younger brother. When I was younger, I was captivated by iconic franchises like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Marvel, and I was already considering myself a "movie buff." However, as I matured, I realized the vast unexplored world of cinema. Determined to broaden my movie horizons, I set a goal to watch as many movies as possible. I've tried to watch 3-4 a week since 2020, keeping a record on the Letterboxd app. I've currently logged 1250 films in my lifetime dating all the way back to childhood. This platform allows me to rate, review, and categorize movies, enabling me to explore various genres. My love for movies has evolved beyond the realms of action and sci-fi and I found myself watching genres like horror, thriller, crime, drama, adventure, western, comedy, and even romance. Embracing the role of the "movie guy" among my friends, I take pride in being the go-to source for quick and reliable film recommendations and love having all this movie knowledge as I can spark up conversation with so many new people. If you're curious, you can find my movie journey documented on my Letterboxd account here:

Graphic Design/Video Editing

I got into Photoshop during my senior year of high school and continued teaching myself the ropes during the pandemic. I also began getting into video editing on Premiere Pro and used both these skills to pursue my original major in Animation at Drexel University. Most of my work from my time at Drexel can be seen on the portfolio tab of the site. Nowadays, I'm using Photoshop to create Instagram posts and fundraiser graphics for my fraternity and the Rutgers club, RU SURE, which can be found on the @ru.alphasig and @rusurerutgers Instagram accounts. I've also been using Premiere Pro for personal projects, recruitment work, and my recent internship at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. At Novatis, I helped create a new and improved narrated tour video of the Novartis East Hanover campus. This project mixed script editing, graphic design, audio editing, live photography, and video editing for a training video that was to be used to show new hires and clients.

Baseball

Baseball has been a part of my life since childhood. I grew up playing Little League, and until recently, I was playing club baseball at Rutgers. Collecting baseball cards, memorizing player stats, and immersing myself in the sport became second nature for me. I had an odd obsession with baseball between 2008 and 2015, and I'm pretty sure I knew every player. Hailing from a family of Mets fans, my allegiance to the Yankees has sparked a friendly yet spirited rivalry with them and my best friend's family. In 2011, our families hatched a plan: visit every MLB stadium. At that point, we had only seen the Yankees, Mets, and Orioles stadiums. We started in Chicago, where we banged out the Cubs and White Sox stadium. Fast forward to 2024, and I've checked off 18 out of the 30 stadiums on the list, with Colorado slated as the next destination. Embarking on this journey, I've been a part of diverse fanbases, witnessed the culture and food of various cities, gotten autographs from great players, and cherished quality time with friends and family. The Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, and Pittsburgh Pirates stadiums are my favorite from this continuous journey
